How to use Abstract:

  1. Create a Branch.
  2. Commit your changes.
  3. Request a design review. 👈 You are here.
  4. Merge your Branch to Master.

After you’ve committed your changes, you can request a design review of your Branch.

Note: Review requests are only available for Business and Enterprise customers. Upgrade your plan to use review requests.

💡Abstract tip: We highly recommend holding a team-wide meeting in order to align on which Branches should be merged to Master.

How to request a design review

To request a design review:

  1. Open the Abstract desktop app.
  2. Select the Project that contains the Branch you’d like to be reviewed.
  3. Select Branches from the left side pane.
  4. Select your Branch you’d like to be reviewed.
    • Note: You can only request a review for your own Branches.
  5. Click REQUEST REVIEW in the top right corner.
    • Alternatively, you can select Request Review from the Branch status dropdown menu.
  6. Type in the names of your Project team member(s) you’d like to review your Branch.
  7. Click REQUEST REVIEW.

Your Branch status will change to IN REVIEW.

How to cancel a review request

If you accidentally started the design review process before you were ready, you can cancel a review request at anytime.

To cancel a review request:

  1. Open the Abstract desktop app.
  2. Select the Project that contains the Branch you’d like to cancel the review for.
  3. Select Branches from the left side pane.
  4. Select the Branch you’d like to cancel the review for.
  5. Change the Branch status to WORK IN PROGRESS in the dropdown menu.
  6. Select the OVERVIEW tab.
  7. In the right side pane, click MANAGE.
  8. Click the menu next to a reviewer’s name.
  9. Select Remove reviewer.

Repeat until all reviewers are removed.
